Kenuna Tower, Nadur’s Crown

Upon the cliffs of Nadur high,
Where the sea and sky in splendour lie,
Stands Kenuna Tower, proud and tall,
A silent keeper over all.

Its stone remembers watchful years,
Of signal fires, hopes, and fears,
Now bathed in peace, it greets the day,
As sunlight gilds the island’s bay.

From Gozo’s heart the breezes roam,
Past fields of gold and honeycomb,
Through carob shade and prickly pear,
Sweet whispers fill the scented air.

Below, the sea—so deep, so wide--
Reflects the cliffs in sapphire pride,
While distant islands, soft and blue,
Adorn the horizon’s tranquil hue.

O Kenuna, steadfast, calm, and wise,
Your beacon lifts to cloudless skies,
A timeless guide, a stony psalm,
That sings of Gozo’s endless calm.
